Terms and Conditions

1. Services

ST Customs provides the following products and services:

• Pre-Configured Custom PC Builds — Ready-to-ship desktop systems assembled and tested by ST Customs
• Full Custom PC Builds — Fully tailored builds based on client specifications, budget, and use case
• Custom PC Build Consultation — A 1-hour consultation session ($100) to plan your custom build. The $100 consultation fee is applied as a credit toward your full custom build cost if you proceed with a build through ST Customs
• PC Troubleshooting (Hardware/Software) — 45-minute diagnostic and resolution sessions ($75) covering hardware and software issues
• GPU Overclocking & Windows Optimization — 30-minute performance tuning sessions ($50) covering GPU overclocking and OS-level optimization

All services are performed based on client-submitted specifications or mutually agreed-upon configurations. ST Customs reserves the right to decline any order or service request at its sole discretion.

2. Orders & Agreements

• All builds require written confirmation (email or online form) before work begins
• Prices are confirmed at the time of order and are subject to change if parts availability or client requirements change prior to build commencement
• Service session times (e.g., 30 min, 1 hr) are estimates and may vary based on complexity

3. Warranty & Shipping

3.1 Labor Warranty
ST Customs provides a 1-year labor warranty covering defects in assembly and workmanship. This covers issues directly resulting from our build process (e.g., improper seating of components, cable management failures, thermal paste application errors).

3.2 What the Labor Warranty Does NOT Cover
• Damage caused by the client after delivery (drops, spills, modifications)
• Manufacturer defects in individual components (covered by respective manufacturer warranties)
• Damage resulting from power surges, lightning strikes, or unstable power supplies
• Overclocking or BIOS modifications performed by the client after delivery
• Software issues, OS corruption, viruses, or data loss
• Normal wear and tear

3.3 Manufacturer Warranties
All components are subject to their respective manufacturer warranties. ST Customs is not responsible for initiating, managing, or covering the cost of manufacturer RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) claims, though we may assist as a courtesy.

3.4 Shipping — New Orders
Shipping costs for all new orders placed through the ST Customs website are paid by the client at checkout as part of the online order process. ST Customs is not responsible for delays, damage, or loss incurred during outbound shipping of new orders once the package has been handed off to the carrier.

3.5 Shipping — Warranty Service & Repairs
If your device requires warranty service or repairs after delivery:
• Client-to-ST Customs (Inbound): The client is responsible for all shipping costs to send the device to ST Customs. The client is also responsible for adequately packaging the device. ST Customs is not liable for damage incurred during inbound shipping
• ST Customs-to-Client (Outbound): ST Customs will cover the cost of return shipping back to the client following the completion of warranty service or repairs. Return shipments will be insured and sent via a tracked carrier. Risk of loss or damage transfers to the carrier upon handoff

4. Refunds, Returns & Cancellations

4.1 Pre-Configured Custom PC Builds
Pre-Configured Custom PC builds are eligible for a 30-day return window from the date of delivery. All returns are subject to a 35% restocking fee applied to the original purchase price. The item must be returned in its original condition. ST Customs reserves the right to deny returns for units that show signs of damage, modification, or misuse after delivery.

4.2 Full Custom PC Builds
Once a client places an order for a full custom PC build, all sales are final — no returns or refunds. Due to the bespoke nature of custom builds, components are sourced and assembled specifically for each client. The $100 consultation fee credit is applied toward the total build cost at the time of order placement and is no longer refundable once the build order has been confirmed and commenced.

4.3 Consultation, Troubleshooting & Overclocking Services
The following services are subject to a 20% cancellation fee if cancelled after booking:
• Custom PC Build Consultation
• PC Troubleshooting (Hardware/Software)
• GPU Overclocking & Windows Optimization

For the Custom PC Build Consultation specifically:
• The $100 fee is refundable minus a 20% cancellation fee ($20) if cancelled before the session takes place
• Once the session has occurred, the $100 is non-refundable but will be applied as a credit toward your full custom PC build if you proceed with a build through ST Customs
• Once a full custom PC build order is placed and the $100 credit has been applied, the build order is final and non-refundable

4.4 General Refund Policy
Refunds outside of the above policies are issued solely at ST Customs's discretion. ST Customs is not responsible for refunding costs related to third-party components, software licenses, or shipping fees.

5. Lifetime Tech Support

ST Customs offers lifetime tech support for all builds. This support is provided remotely (via phone, email, or remote access tools) and covers general troubleshooting and guidance. Lifetime tech support does not include:
• On-site visits
• Hardware replacements or labor costs after the 1-year warranty period
• Issues caused by third-party modifications or software

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • ST Customs shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to the use, misuse, or malfunction of any product built or serviced by ST Customs

  • This includes, but is not limited to: property damage, fire, electrical damage, data loss, personal injury, or any other loss — whether caused by hardware failure, component defect, electrical fault, power surge, or any other cause, whether foreseeable or not

  • ST Customs is not liable for damage to property, including but not limited to damage to the premises, furniture, or other equipment where the PC is used or stored

  • In no event shall ST Customs's total cumulative liability to the client exceed the total amount paid by the client for the specific build or service that gave rise to the claim

  • The client acknowledges that all electronic hardware carries inherent risks, including but not limited to component failure, electrical shorts, and fire hazards, and assumes full responsibility for safe installation, use, and maintenance of the device after delivery

7. Indemnification

By accepting these Terms, the client agrees to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless ST Customs, its owner(s), employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

  • The client's use or misuse of the product

  • Any modification made to the product after delivery

  • The client's failure to follow safe usage guidelines

  • Any third-party claims arising from damage caused by the product

8. Risk Acknowledgment & Assumption of Risk

The client expressly acknowledges and agrees that:

  • Custom-built computers involve electrical components that carry inherent risks, including electrical shorts, overheating, and in rare cases, fire

  • It is the client's sole responsibility to ensure the PC is used in a safe environment, connected to a properly grounded outlet, used with a quality UPS or surge protector, and maintained in accordance with general electronics safety practices

  • ST Customs makes no guarantee that the completed build will be free from all defects or that it will be suitable for any particular purpose beyond what was explicitly agreed upon

  • ST Customs is not responsible for fire, smoke, electrical damage, or any consequential property or personal harm arising from the use, operation, or malfunction of the built system

9. Overclocking & Modifications

Any overclocking, hardware modifications, BIOS changes, or third-party software modifications performed by the client after delivery will immediately void the labor warranty and all tech support obligations related to the affected components. ST Customs is not liable for any damage resulting from client-performed modifications, including but not limited to component failure, data loss, or system instability.

10. Client-Provided Parts

  • ST Customs assumes no responsibility for the compatibility, quality, or condition of client-provided parts

  • ST Customs will perform a visual inspection but cannot guarantee the functionality of used or previously owned components

  • Warranty coverage applies only to ST Customs's labor, not the client-supplied parts themselves

11. Payment Terms

  • All products available for purchase through the ST Customs website can be ordered directly via our online ordering system. Payment is collected securely at checkout prior to order fulfillment

  • A deposit may be required for full custom PC builds before work begins, as communicated at the time of order confirmation

  • For services booked directly (consultation, troubleshooting, overclocking), full payment is due at the time of booking

  • Full payment for any remaining balance is due upon completion and before the device is returned or shipped

  • ST Customs reserves the right to hold the device until full payment is received

  • All sales are final for full custom PC builds. Pre-built returns and service cancellations are subject to the terms outlined in §4

12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation between both parties. If unresolved, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Santa Clara County, California, in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association.

13. Changes to Terms

ST Customs reserves the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. Changes will be posted on our website with an updated effective date. Continued use of our services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
